Avencia-P Block showed significantly reduced color stability compared to Avencia Block. The reinforced hybrid blocks (except for Estelite-P Block and Duro Ace) showed lower color stability than corresponding regular blocks. Immersion in deionized water or 10% ethanol made no significant color or translucency changes (except for Avencia-P Block) however, the simulated red wine caused significant changes to the color and translucency of almost all specimens, especially after 4 weeks of immersion. Microstructural features of the hybrid composite blocks were also examined using FE-SEM. The data were analyzed using the analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Tukey’s post hoc test ( p < 0.05). Changes in color (ΔE) and translucency (ΔTP) of specimens were calculated. The specimen color and translucency parameter (TP) were assessed using a spectrophotometer before and after immersion in staining solutions (water, 10% ethanol, simulated red wine). One hundred fifty disc-type specimens (n = 15) were prepared from five sets of hybrid composite blocks (Cerasmart-200/Cerasmart-300, KZR-CAD HR/KZR-CAD HR3, Estelite Block/ Estelite-P Block, Avencia Block/Avencia-P Block, Mazic Duro/Duro Ace). This also allows you to erase the 'PRODUCED BY AN AUTODESK EDUCATIONAL PRODUCT' without it affecting your drawing. This study compares the color stability of dental reinforced computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) hybrid composite blocks to that of regular blocks. Remember that the page you make can be much larger than the size you need. If you find this is the case, make a new layout in CAD being sure to make it portrait and try again. Photoshop thinks it is in portrait, so it shrinks it to the smaller edge.

Sometimes when you import a pdf from AutoCAD and it is in landscape, the proportions will not stay correct and the scale will be off. You can turn the background layer off before saving so it stays transparent to help you create final boards or your portfolio. Then drag it below the Linework layer so you can see it while editing. You can either create a new layer and paint it which ever color you would like or create a new solid fill layer Layer > New Fill Layer > Solid Color and select the color you want. To help see the linework and begin the rendering process, create a solid background color. When the file is imported, the background is transparent, shown by the checkerboard pattern. Once completed, hit OK to rasterize the image.Ħ. Unless you are making a poster, use 300ppi.ĥ. Larger than 11x17 is meant to be viewed from further away (100-200ppi).
If viewed 11x17 or smaller a larger ppi is desired for close viewing (200-300ppi). Adjust the Resolution or pixels per inch (ppi). If you don't select it, the imported image will be very grainy.Ĥ. Make sure Anti-Aliasingis checked to smooths the edges of the linework. Changing the size here will affect image scale.ģ. With Media Box selected, verify the Image Size with the original PDF.

Setting it to media box will make it easier to update the linework later Option will remove the surrounding white space around the object. This will maintain the proper scale and paper size of your drawings as completed in CAD. Next, set the Crop To setting to Media Box. You can now name the new file if you'd like.Ģ. Follow the steps below.ġ.To convert a PDF file, simply open the file in Photoshop, File > Open. The import window also allows you to input a pixel resolution for the new imported file and double check the file size. The linework in a CAD PDF file is stored as vector data rather than raster data used by Photoshop, so when you bring the file into Photoshop, you will be given options on how want to import the PDF and convert the file.
